About Us
I
want something for you: I want
you to be able to celebrate the beautiful
relationship you shared with your pet
and to lessen the overwhelming grief
that you feel after your loss. And
as a therapist and consultant to both
pet owners and veterinarians, I truly
believe that I can help you.
My
interest in grief began with personal
experience: The death of my beloved
samoyed Snowball when I was 25 (I'd
had her for an incredible 19 years!)
was overwhelming and the pain of losing
my beautiful friend was truly heartbreaking.
And
so, I've combined extensive professional
experience, post-graduate work, and
sadly, but perhaps most insightful,
my own personal experience to develop
Healing After the Loss of Your Pet.
I've also developed a new way
of looking at grief based on my Native
American culture that believes that
nature is life's best teacher; that
there are ways we can learn to move
in concert with nature versus against
in order to make the transition of grief
a more healthy one.
I
graduated from the University of San
Francisco with a Masters Degree in Counseling
Psychology and have written numerous
books and articles, as well as produced
a number of video programs relating
to the field of psychology.
I
live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest
with my wonderful husband, Phil, my
muse.
