"Barney" - My Bloodhound
I lost my bloodhound Barney early last year and felt as if I'd lost my best friend.  I was really surprised at how hard it hit me and I knew I needed some kind of way to try to feel better.  I was so glad to find your video because I just couldn't seem to concentrate well enough to read some of the books I found.

Your video is so comforting and I really appreciated you sharing the loss of Snowball as well.  It made me feel that you were sharing your pain, yet letting me know that I will heal in time.  I like that you use "seasons" to explain grief.  I realized that I was in my "winter" season of grief for a long time and that really helped me to move forward.

"Ditto" - My Poodle
Ditto died almost two years ago but I just haven't had the urge (motiviation, inclination ... courage!) to get another dog even though my family and especially my kids beg me nearly every day.  I just didn't feel like they "got" what Ditto's death meant to me and I almost felt like I must be the crazy one ... why was Ditto's death not affecting them as much as me?  Why was I taking it so hard?

Your video really helped me understand, particularly when you talked about the human-animal bond and how different members of the family respond to a pet's death.  I recognized what "season" of my grief I was still in and what I should do during the various seasons.  I took a number of your suggestions to heart and feel like I'm getting to the point of celebrating Ditto's life now instead of mourning him. Thank you so much, from me and my family.

"Lips" - My Calico Cat
My vetrinarian gave me your video after the death of my kitty, Lips.  She was really sick and passed away so quickly that I just didn't know what to do; I hadn't expected it at all and kept thinking I was to blame.  Why had I missed how sick she was?  Your video really explained that to me so well.

Well, my vet told me that I'd find a lot of comfort in your video and he was right.  I knew he couldn't take a lot of time with me, but I knew he cared about my feelings and I really appreciated that he cared. I felt like you were right there with me in my home.  Thank you.

"
QuickWay" - My Labrador
QuickWay wasn't your average, normal dog.  He was so special he was almost human!  Well, I guess that's how all pet owners feel, isn't it?  In watching your video, I could so relate to many of the things you talked about, and especially the clients you introduced to us.  It was great of them to share their own experience and great of you as well to share your knowledge and your experience with your own dog, Snowball.

I wish I'd had your video when I first found out QuickWay was sick for the "End of Life" issues that you talk about, but at least I have it now.  Thank you; you're doing a great service to other pet owners who are suffering, most in silence.
